VMAX3 Onboarding
CISCO VPN
- Connect to the [[../../All Company/CISCO AnyConnect|CISCO AnyConnect]] using your trakker credentials
Create the machine on our server
- Connect to the credential server with Remote Desktop
- IP: 10.101.201.135
- user: admin / pass: seitech1
- Open command prompt as administrator
- Create the machine on our credentials server
vmax3 -M <serial number of machine>
- Create token for VMAX
vmax3 <serial number of machine> -O <target directory>
- example: C:\WINDOWS\system32>vmax3 123456 -O c:\
- Copy Vmax3_ClientProvision-v1.0.0 to your laptop to be installed onto the VMAX Service Processor
VMAX configuration
- Log into the MMCS
- user: MMCS / pass: Admin4MMCS
- Connect the provided USB-GigE adapter into the USB extension cable coming from the back of the machine to above the KVM
- Set the newly created network adapter to an IP address of 192.168.148.14/24
- Install tightvnc onto the Service Processor, as well as the FE's laptop (if needed)
- password for tightvnc server on the VMAX should be set to symmcare
- Establish a network connection from the FE's laptop to the VMAX
- Set laptop IP address to 192.168.148.1/24 or something similar within range
- Connect FE laptop via RJ45 cable to the newly installed network adapter on the VMAX
- Create the directory C:\EMC\SE
- Inside of the newly created directory copy the archive Vmax3_ClientProvision-v1.0.0.zip and the token previously created
- Extract the contents of the .zip file and from a command prompt started as administrator, navigate to C:\EMC\SE and run the .exe file
- Tokens have now been cleaned up and are added to the system
Final Onboarding steps
- Connect to the credential server with Remote Desktop
- IP: 10.101.201.135
- user: admin / pass: seitech1
- Generate keys to log into the VMAX
- ```

- Log in with RSA account, using the information given from the output above
- From symmwin run a healthcheck and an Environmental check
