Here is the connectivity information.
As you noted, you can connect directly to our network on port 47 of the lower switch in the rack by the entrance to the cage.
Our systems are directly accessible using any telnet application. 
Some are better than others when it comes to keyboard mapping for VMS systems.
We use Reflections.
We have connected using PuTTy.
All our VMS systems are accessible directly on the network.
All our VMS systems also have console connections through a DecServer.
(we did not contract the DecServer since we have two spares at Psyche.)
There is also a VT520 on site if you need to connect directly to the console port on any of the Alpha Servers.
(just remember to connect the DECserver back up when you are done.)
