Battery Replacement
Models affected:
- 3080
- 3090
- 4060
- 4080
- 4100
This procedure is to be followed after the physical replacement of the battery
Procedure
- Connect as supervisor to the affected node - see [[General]] for more information
- Set new battery fitted date
new-battery-fitted --field --confirm
- One prompt returns "exit" to get to the Linux prompt
- Login as root
su root
- Restart the monitoring process
/etc/init.d/chassis-monitor restart
It takes 24 hours for the battery to complete it's diagnostic cycle and for the warnings messages to cease.
